Ben Forsyth, CPM®, is the President of Westerra and Senior Property Manager. He graduated with a BS in Finance, with an emphasis in Real Estate, from the University of Utah. Ben earned his CPM (Certified Property Manager) designation through the Institute of Real Estate Management in 2006. He is responsible for day to day operations of 1.5 million square feet of retail, office and industrial properties, including supervision of property maintenance, risk management, tenant relations, capital improvement projects, contract negotiations, budget and CAM expense, leasing, and financial management. In 2009 Ben served as the President of the IREM Utah Chapter and as the IREM Region 8 Vice President from 2011-2012. In 2011 he was recognized for his contributions to professional property management and was awarded CPM of the year by the Utah Chapter. Additionally, Ben currently serves on the IREM Foundation Board of Directors.
Richard Forsyth, CPM®, CCIM, is the founder of Westerra Realty & Management. He received a BA from Brigham Young University in 1970 and entered the property management business in 1972, in Denver, Colorado. Richard has nationwide experience in the management of commercial and multi-family properties. He has extensive experience in construction management, financial workouts, consulting, receiverships and trustee work, property tax appeals, and expert witness services. Richard earned the prestigious CCIM designation in 2003 and is active in the CCIM institute. He is a Certified Property Manager (CPM) and a member of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM). He was recognized by IREM in 1982 for contributions to professional property management and was awarded CPM of the Year in 1992 & 1995 by his Utah IREM Chapter. In addition, nationally, he has served as an institute governing counselor, committee member and chairman, Regional Vice President of the Institute of Real Estate Management and faculty member.
Greg serves as facilities manager and property maintenance supervisor for Westerra. He has worked as a contractor for 10 years, which gives him the ability to quickly evaluate the condition of each property and identify areas that need improvement. He coordinates with the property manager, vendors, and tenants to resolve daily maintenance issues, as well as any tenant improvements, building upgrades and retrofits.
Darlene serves as the company's office and accounting department manager. She has worked with Westerra for 34 years and has a thorough understanding of commercial real estate management and Westerra’s business approach to property management. Currently, Darlene manages property accounting and reporting and the internal functions of the office. Through the years, she has developed a reputation as a hardworking, loyal individual and provided excellent service to clients and tenants.
Becky has been with Westerra for several years as an Administrative and Property Management Assistant. She helps with office work, tenant relations, accounting, vendor contracts, insurance compliance, monthly reports, CAM reconciliations and budgets. She also oversees maintenance and projects on several properties. Becky is a Licensed Real Estate Agent and Notary Public.
